Follow the progress of the Road2Braille project: our meetings, our work on early Braille learning and what comes next.

Where the project stands

Observation grids refined

We have developed two observation grids to follow the early development of young children with visual impairment: one for children aged 0 to 15 months and one for children aged 16 to 36 months.

After testing both grids, we analysed the feedback we received and included it in the grids where appropriate.

Guidelines for parents and professionals

The guidelines for parents have been created.

For the guidelines for professionals, we have defined the content they will cover.

Activities and materials

For the different findings of the observations, we have identified matching activities.

The activities and materials for both the professional setting and the home setting are now nearly finished.

We are also assembling toolboxes that parents will be able to borrow, so families can try these activities at home with their child.
